Air France Premium and KLM Premium Comfort awards are now bookable online with SAS EuroBonus points, and have been appearing in the booking tool since late July 2026. American’s Boeing 777-300ER is still one of its most complete long-haul aircraft, with Flagship First at the front and a large Flagship Business cabin behind it. After flying the same aircraft in Flagship First from Buenos Aires to New York, I returned in Business Class, which made this a useful back-to-back comparison of the two cabins.

Hawaiian Retires the 717 for the 737-800

Alaska Airlines just announced that Hawaiian’s Neighbor Island fleet is moving from the Boeing 717 to Hawaiian-branded Boeing 737-800s. The goal is to begin that change in 2028 (Alaska has not given an end date), with one Alaska-branded 737 flying alongside the 717s starting this October.

Delta Launches Nonstop Los Angeles–Manila Service in 2027

Delta announced nonstop service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Manila (MNL) starting March 28, 2027. It’s Delta’s first nonstop to the Philippines, and it makes Delta the only U.S. carrier flying LAX-Manila directly. Delta has already loaded SkyMiles award space for the route, and it’s wide open right now. Delta also brought back Beyond The Summer, a set of SkyMiles bonus offers with a fast-approaching deadline, more on that further down.
