Aeromexico Rewards 2026: How to Book Flights With Points

Want to book an Aeromexico flight with points? Aeromexico Rewards has two award types: limited-availability Classic awards with published prices and dynamic awards whose prices change with the route, cabin, demand, and availability.

That difference matters. Aeromexico’s current Classic chart lists one-way economy awards from Mexico to many US cities from 18,000 points, while a dynamic award on the same route can cost much more. The program is also a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards and Capital One Miles, and Aeromexico Rewards points do not expire.

This guide explains how to search and book Aeromexico flights with points, how the 2026 award chart works, which transfers are available, and what to check before confirming a redemption.

What is Aeromexico Rewards?

Aeromexico Rewards is Aeromexico’s frequent flyer program. It was called Club Premier until April 10, 2023. Existing accounts, points, and membership history carried over when the name changed.

Membership is free. You can earn points by flying Aeromexico and eligible partner airlines, transferring bank or hotel points, using co-branded cards in Mexico, and spending with other program partners. Points can be used for:

• Aeromexico and Aeromexico Connect flights
• Eligible SkyTeam and other partner-airline flights
• Cash + Points bookings
• Bags, seats, and upgrades on eligible Aeromexico bookings
• Selected hotels, car rentals, experiences, and other rewards

Aeromexico calls its currency Aeromexico Rewards points, although travelers sometimes refer to them as Aeromexico miles.

For most travelers, flights are the most useful redemption because they allow you to compare the points price directly with the cash fare.

How to Book Aeromexico Flights With Points

The basic process is simple:

1. Join Aeromexico Rewards and make sure the name on the account matches your travel document.
2. Search for award availability on AwardFares or Aeromexico before transferring any bank points.
3. Compare Classic and dynamic options, including the points price, taxes, service fee, baggage, and change rules.
4. Transfer points only after finding a suitable flight. Transfers are normally final.
5. Complete the booking online for an Aeromexico itinerary. If a partner award is unavailable online, contact Aeromexico Rewards with the exact flight details.

Classic vs. Dynamic Aeromexico Awards

Aeromexico publishes two award types on its official award-ticket page:

Classic awards are normally the first option to compare because the price is predictable. Dynamic awards can still be useful when Classic space is unavailable or when the variable price is close to the chart price.

Do not assume that a result labeled “Classic” is automatically a good redemption. Always compare the cash fare and the full cash component of the award.

Aeromexico Award Chart for 2026

The table below shows Aeromexico’s published one-way Classic award prices from Mexico. Aeromexico’s current award-ticket terms state that the fixed amount is determined per one-way trip. Prices are per person. Low- and high-season dates apply, and taxes and service fees are additional.

For 2026, Aeromexico lists these high-season periods:

• March 26 through April 12, 2026
• July 12 through August 23, 2026
• December 11, 2026, through January 10, 2027

All other 2026 dates are listed as low season. The chart is a benchmark, not a promise that a Classic seat will exist on every flight. If the available result is dynamic, the booking engine can show a higher or lower number.

How Much Are Aeromexico Points Worth?

Aeromexico Rewards points do not have one fixed cash value. Their value depends on the cash fare you avoid, the award price, and the taxes and fees you still pay.

Use this formula:

Value per point = (cash price − award taxes and fees) ÷ points required

For example, suppose a one-way flight costs $320 in cash or 18,000 points plus $60. The redemption value is:

($320 − $60) ÷ 18,000 = 1.44 cents per Aeromexico point

We generally look for at least 1 cent per Aeromexico point before transferring flexible bank points. That is a decision threshold, not a fixed valuation. A lower result may still make sense if cash fares are unusually high or you prefer to keep cash available.

If you are transferring from Amex, also calculate the value of the Membership Rewards points you are spending. At the standard 1:1.6 ratio, 18,000 Aeromexico points require 11,250 Amex points.

So, how much are 10,000 Aeromexico points worth? There is no single dollar answer. At 1 cent each they cover about $100 of net airfare; at 1.5 cents each they cover about $150. Calculate the exact value for the flight you plan to book.

Best Ways to Use Aeromexico Points

These are the published Classic prices we would check first. Availability is limited, so use them as targets rather than guaranteed offers.

1. One-Way Flights Between Mexico and Most US Cities

Classic economy starts at 18,000 points in low season and 22,000 in high season for the US zone that excludes New York, Seattle, and Chicago. Clase Premier starts at 36,000 points.

With the standard Amex transfer ratio, the 18,000-point economy rate requires 11,250 Membership Rewards points. This can be useful when cash fares rise around holidays and major events.

2. One-Way Domestic Flights in Mexico

Domestic Classic awards start at 10,000 points in economy or 23,000 in Clase Premier during low season. Short domestic flights are worth comparing when last-minute cash fares are high, but check the cash component and baggage rules before booking.

3. Mexico to Europe

The Classic chart lists Europe at 75,000 to 90,000 points one way in economy and 150,000 to 180,000 points in Clase Premier. At the standard Amex ratio, that is 46,875 to 56,250 Membership Rewards points for economy or 93,750 to 112,500 for Clase Premier.

4. Mexico to Southern South America

One-way Classic awards start at 50,000 points in economy and 100,000 in Clase Premier during low season. Compare Buenos Aires, Santiago, and São Paulo dates separately because aircraft, schedules, and award availability can vary.

5. Discounted Classic Awards

Aeromexico runs limited-time award promotions on selected routes. The useful comparison is the discounted points price against both the normal Classic rate and the current cash fare. An advertised percentage discount does not always produce the best overall redemption once taxes and fees are included.

Earn Points by Flying

Aeromexico’s current status page says members earn 8 eligible points per US dollar, or the equivalent in local currency, on eligible Aeromexico flight spending. Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium members receive additional points.

Basic fares in booking class V, or an equivalent class, do not earn eligible points or segments toward Aeromexico status. Earnings on partner airlines follow the rules for the airline and fare class shown by Aeromexico.

Earn With Cards and Other Partners

In Mexico, Aeromexico offers co-branded American Express cards and introduced a new Inbursa Aeromexico card portfolio in June 2026. The current lineup includes Inbursa Aeromexico cards; benefits and eligibility depend on the specific product.

Members can also earn through selected hotel, car-rental, shopping, and experience partners. Compare the earning rate and price with booking directly before choosing a partner offer.

Aeromexico Rewards Status Levels

Aeromexico has four elite levels above the base membership tier. You can qualify with eligible points or eligible flight segments in a calendar year.

Aeromexico’s official level table lists the complete conditions. Benefits can depend on the fare, operating airline, availability, itinerary, and whether the flight is domestic or international.

The Titanium guaranteed-availability award is subject to program rules and does not mean every award is free of fees or restrictions. Confirm the conditions before relying on it for a specific trip.

Using Aeromexico Points on Partner Airlines

Aeromexico is a founding member of SkyTeam. Aeromexico Rewards points can be used for eligible flights on SkyTeam airlines and other affiliated partners.

Current SkyTeam members include Delta, Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, SAS, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Korean Air, China Airlines, China Eastern, Vietnam Airlines, and others. The operating airline still needs to release award space that Aeromexico Rewards can access; alliance membership alone does not guarantee availability.

The program’s two award types cover partners differently:

• Classic awards can include Aeromexico, SkyTeam, and other affiliated airlines at fixed regional prices.
• Dynamic awards are limited to Aeromexico, Delta, KLM, and Air France and use variable pricing.

Not every eligible partner itinerary appears in Aeromexico’s online booking flow. If you find partner space that is not displayed online, contact Aeromexico customer service and provide the date, operating airline, flight number, route, cabin, and passenger count. Aeromexico’s terms recommend calling at least seven business days before departure for SkyTeam and affiliated-airline awards. This is a recommended lead time, not a guarantee of availability. Ask the agent to confirm the points price and all cash charges before transferring or ticketing.

Aeromexico and Delta in 2026

Aeromexico Rewards and Delta SkyMiles are separate programs. Members can still earn and redeem across eligible flights under their airline and SkyTeam partnerships.

The US Department of Transportation ordered the airlines’ immunized joint venture to end, but a federal appeals court stayed that order while the case is reviewed. The joint venture therefore remains in place as of our July 15, 2026 check. Aeromexico’s court update confirms that the order is stayed until the judicial review is resolved. The DOT’s final position allows ordinary cooperation such as codesharing, marketing, and frequent-flyer reciprocity even if the joint venture ends.

For points users, the practical advice is unchanged: confirm that the exact Delta-operated flight is available through Aeromexico Rewards before transferring points.

How to Find Aeromexico Award Flights With AwardFares

Aeromexico’s booking site is where you complete an online redemption. AwardFares helps with the search stage by letting you compare dates and routes before choosing a flight.

1. Open AwardFares

Go to the AwardFares search. You can start searching without an account; a free account gives you access to additional features.

2. Select Aeromexico Rewards

Open the Frequent Flyer Program picker and select Aeromexico Rewards.

3. Add Your Route

Enter the departure and arrival airports. This example searches between Mexico City (MEX) and Amsterdam (AMS).

If you can use more than one airport, add the alternatives to compare them in the same search.

4. Choose a Date or Explore a Range

Select a travel date in the calendar.

AwardFares displays available results in List View.

Use Timeline View when your dates are flexible. It makes it easier to compare availability across several days.

5. Compare Prices and Cabins

Sort the result columns by points price and use the cabin labels to compare economy and premium-cabin results.

The Max Price filter can hide awards above your points budget. The published Classic chart gives you a useful reference when setting the limit.

You can also filter by cabin, number of stops, passenger count, aircraft type, or flight number.

6. Set an Alert

If the flight you want is unavailable, create an alert. AwardFares can notify you when matching seats appear.

7. Complete the Booking

For an Aeromexico-operated flight, select Book to continue to Aeromexico and review the live booking details.

Confirm the trip type, operating airline, cabin, points price, taxes, service fee, baggage, and change conditions on Aeromexico’s final booking screen. For a partner flight that is unavailable online, note the exact flight details and contact Aeromexico Rewards.

Aeromexico Award Booking Rules

These are the main conditions to check before confirming an award:

• Point expiration: Aeromexico Rewards points do not expire.
• Classic chart: the published prices in this guide are for one-way travel from Mexico and depend on low or high season.
• Dynamic pricing: the points price depends on the itinerary, cabin, demand, and availability.
• Taxes and service fees: points do not cover all taxes and charges. Aeromexico’s current page lists a 323 MXN service fee for online bookings and 640 MXN through other channels; verify the amount for your booking market.
• Baggage: Classic awards include baggage based on the zone, with exceptions for domestic Mexico, US, and Canada itineraries. Dynamic-award baggage follows the selected fare family.
• Cash + Points: both Classic and dynamic awards can be paid with a combination of points and money when offered.
• Changes and cancellations: availability, fare conditions, and route-specific fees apply. Changes involving US travel can be especially expensive.
• Stopovers: Aeromexico’s terms allow one stopover on an eligible round-trip award, subject to routing and connection limits.
• Ticket validity: the award ticket is valid for one year from its original issue date under the published terms.
• Partner bookings: agencies cannot issue Aeromexico Rewards awards. Use Aeromexico’s authorized online or service channels. Aeromexico recommends calling at least seven business days before departure for a SkyTeam or affiliated-airline award.

Because fees and fare conditions can change, treat the final booking screen and current Aeromexico Rewards terms as the controlling information.

Aeromexico Rewards Updates for 2026

We checked these details on July 15, 2026. The changes most relevant to this guide are:

• Citi transfers ended: Citi ThankYou stopped transfers to Aeromexico Rewards on January 25, 2026.
• New Inbursa cards launched in Mexico: Inbursa replaced Santander as Aeromexico’s new co-branded banking partner beginning June 1, 2026. American Express Aeromexico cards remain available.
• The Delta joint venture remains under review: a court stay keeps the immunized joint venture in place while the appeal continues. Frequent-flyer cooperation is not the same as the joint venture and can continue separately.
• Classic and dynamic awards remain available: Aeromexico’s current page still publishes both award types and the regional Classic chart shown above.
• Points still do not expire: this policy has been in place since the April 2023 rebrand.
