Air France and KLM Premium Economy Awards with EuroBonus: Best Routes (2026)

Air France Premium and KLM Premium Comfort awards are now bookable online with SAS EuroBonus points, and have been appearing in the booking tool since late July 2026. That brings the number of SkyTeam partners you can book in Premium Economy to five, and it adds the two biggest Premium Economy networks in the alliance.

In April we covered the quiet rollout that started all of this with Virgin Atlantic, Delta, and SAS, and we ended that post asking when Air France and KLM would follow. Now we know.

These two airlines change what you can actually plan. Virgin Atlantic covers London. Delta covers the United States. Air France and KLM add Paris and Amsterdam, plus the Caribbean, West Africa, the Gulf, South America, and most of Asia, on aircraft that nearly all have a Premium Economy cabin. And because EuroBonus uses a fixed price chart and adds no fuel surcharges, the same seat can cost you less with EuroBonus points than with Flying Blue miles.

Book Air France and KLM Premium Economy with EuroBonus Points

EuroBonusGuiden reported on July 30, 2026 that Air France and KLM Premium Economy awards had appeared in the EuroBonus online booking tool. That matches what the April report promised, which was “more SkyTeam carriers before summer.” Five of the nineteen SkyTeam members now support Premium Economy online:

• SAS (Premium Economy, SAS-operated flights)
• Virgin Atlantic (Premium)
• Delta Air Lines (Premium Select)
• Air France (Premium, new)
• KLM (Premium Comfort, new)

Nothing else changed. The point prices are the same as the ones published when SAS joined SkyTeam in 2024, the €50 per-passenger partner fee still applies, and the Amex Premium 2-for-1 voucher still works on Premium Economy.

EuroBonus vs Flying Blue for the Same Premium Economy Seat

You have always been able to book Air France and KLM Premium Economy with Flying Blue miles. What is new is that you now have a second way to pay for the same seat, and the two programs work in opposite ways.

The rule is simple. Flying Blue is usually cheaper when demand is low, because its prices fall on quiet dates and Promo Rewards can be lower still. EuroBonus is usually cheaper when demand is high, because a fixed chart charges the same number of points in December as it does in March. Add the Amex Premium voucher and a second traveler, and EuroBonus costs much less on many dates.

The surcharge row is the one to check for yourself. It can change what you actually pay by a few hundred euros per person, and it is why we would look at EuroBonus first for these two airlines.

The Best Air France and KLM Premium Economy Redemptions

Two things make these two carriers different from Virgin and Delta. First, the cabin is nearly everywhere: Air France sells Premium on every widebody it flies, and KLM has finished putting Premium Comfort on all of its 777s and 787s. Second, Paris and Amsterdam reach regions on the chart that Virgin Atlantic and Delta don’t reach, including the 90,000-point price level, where almost no other SkyTeam partner offers a Premium Economy cabin.

Air France Premium

Air France calls its Premium Economy cabin “Premium,” and it’s on every widebody in the fleet: 777-300ER, 777-200ER, A350-900, 787-9, and the remaining A330s. The seat is 2-4-2 on the 777 and A350, and 2-3-2 on the 787 and A330. The newer recliner seat with the 4K screen is on the A350 fleet and on a growing share of refitted 777-300ERs, so it’s worth checking the aircraft before you pick a date.

1. Paris to the US and Canada from 105,000 Points Round-Trip 🗽

Air France runs the widest transatlantic network in SkyTeam after Delta, with Premium on CDG to JFK, LAX, SFO, SEA, BOS, IAD, ATL, ORD, MIA, DFW, DTW, MSP, PHL, DEN, RDU, LAS, YUL, YYZ, and YVR. A round-trip is 105,000 points and a one-way is 63,000. With an Amex Premium voucher, two people fly round-trip for 105,000 points combined.

• Why It’s a Sweet Spot: This is the same 52,500 points per person we showed on Virgin Atlantic’s London routes in April, but with many more US cities to choose from and no fuel surcharge added. If you live anywhere in Europe, getting to Paris is easy.
• Pro Tip: The new CDG to Las Vegas A350 route is one of the newest in the network, and new routes usually open with plenty of award space outside Business Class.

2. Paris to Tokyo, Seoul, or Shanghai on the A350 for 135,000 Points 🌸

135,000 points round-trip from Europe to Central, East and South Asia, or 81,000 one-way, covers CDG to HND, NRT, ICN, PVG, PEK, HKG, DEL, BOM, and BLR. Air France has been putting the A350 on a growing share of these rotations.

• Why It’s a Sweet Spot: These flights take 11 to 13 hours. At that length, a wider seat that reclines further makes a real difference to how you feel on the day you land.
• Best Aircraft: The A350-900 has the newest Premium seat in the fleet. Use the AwardFares aircraft filter to skip the older fixed-shell 777s.
• Pro Tip: India costs the same 135,000 points, and Paris to Delhi or Mumbai flies overnight going east, so the cabin matters even more.

3. Paris to Johannesburg or Cape Town for 135,000 Points 🦁

Southern Africa is 135,000 points round-trip in Premium Economy, or 81,000 one-way. Air France flies CDG to JNB year-round and CDG to CPT in the northern winter, both on widebodies with a Premium cabin.

• Why It’s a Sweet Spot: Both are overnight flights of 10 to 11 hours with almost no time-zone change, so you land in the morning and go straight into your day. Cash fares in Premium to Cape Town in December and January are some of the highest of the year, while the points price stays at 135,000.
• Pro Tip: KLM flies AMS to CPT and JNB in the same season at the same price, so search from both cities before you choose your dates.

KLM Premium Comfort

KLM has now installed Premium Comfort across its entire 777 and 787 fleet, so 54 widebodies have the cabin. It’s 2-4-2 on the 777s and 2-3-2 on the 787s. The one thing to watch is the few A330s still flying, which never received the cabin and are being replaced by the A350. AwardFares shows the aircraft type on every result, so this is easy to check before you book.

4. Amsterdam to Curaçao, Aruba, or Bonaire for 120,000 Points 🏝️

120,000 points round-trip from Europe to Central America and the Caribbean, or 72,000 one-way. KLM serves CUR, AUA, BON, SXM, and PBM from Amsterdam, mostly on the 777-300ER.

• Why It’s a Sweet Spot: These are 10 hour daytime flights in each direction, and every other routing means connecting in the United States, which raises a transit visa question. Cash fares in Premium Comfort to the Dutch Caribbean stay high through the northern winter, because most passengers are on holiday rather than on business. The points price does not move with them.
• Pro Tip: These flights are usually full in the northern winter. Award space tends to appear when the schedule opens and then disappear, so a Flex Alert covering all five destinations works better than checking one route at a time.

5. The Gulf or West Africa for 90,000 Points, the Cheapest on the Chart 🕌

North/Central Africa and the Middle East is 90,000 points round-trip in Premium Economy, or just 54,000 one-way, the lowest price in the whole Premium Economy chart from Europe. Both carriers fly widebodies into this zone: KLM to Dubai, and Air France and KLM to Lagos, Accra, Abidjan, and Dakar.

• Why It’s a Sweet Spot: Almost no other SkyTeam partner flies a true Premium Economy cabin to this region. With an Amex Premium voucher, a round-trip for two costs 90,000 points combined, or 45,000 per person.
• What to Check: The aircraft matters more here than anywhere else. Some of these routes switch between widebody and narrowbody aircraft depending on the day of the week, and KLM’s remaining A330s have no Premium Comfort at all. Filter by aircraft in AwardFares and make sure the cabin is really sold on your flight before you spend the points.

6. Amsterdam to Buenos Aires, Lima, or Santiago for 135,000 Points 🇦🇷

South America is 135,000 points round-trip from Europe, or 81,000 one-way. KLM flies AMS to EZE, LIM, SCL, GIG, GRU, and BOG, and Air France covers the same region from CDG.

• Why It’s a Sweet Spot: Amsterdam to Buenos Aires takes close to 14 hours, one of the longest flights either airline operates. If there’s one route where the wider seat is worth the extra points, this is it.

Finding the Seats on AwardFares

The broad search across all SkyTeam partners in Premium Economy is still the fastest way to see everything at once. Now that Air France and KLM are included, that search returns many more results than it did in April.

To focus on the two new carriers only, narrow it to AF and KL. Use Timeline View, because Premium Economy still opens in small groups of two to four seats rather than long runs of dates.

Conclusion

Virgin Atlantic and Delta gave EuroBonus members Premium Economy on two networks. Air France and KLM add two more hubs, most of Asia, the Dutch Caribbean, West Africa, the Gulf, and South America, on fleets where nearly every long-haul aircraft has the cabin.

Two numbers are worth remembering: 90,000 points round-trip to the Gulf and West Africa, and 105,000 points round-trip to North America, which becomes 52,500 per person with a voucher. Neither adds an Air France-KLM fuel surcharge when you book through EuroBonus, and no other SkyTeam program offers that combination today.

Fourteen SkyTeam carriers still have no Premium Economy online through EuroBonus, so this rollout probably isn’t finished. We’ll keep updating as more appear.
