Rove Adds an App, Dining, and a 40% Copa Transfer Bonus

New ways to earn Rove Miles, plus what to check before transferring to ConnectMiles by September 30.

Rove Adds an App, Dining, and a 40% Copa Transfer Bonus

Rove has added more ways to earn miles and another place to use them. Its August 28 update introduced the app, dining, gift cards, and changes to hotel booking. On September 1, Copa Airlines ConnectMiles joined as a transfer partner with a 40% launch bonus through September 30, 2026.

For award travelers, the useful combination is earning a small balance from planned purchases, then comparing where it can take you. The bonus is worth checking if ConnectMiles has a flight you want. It is not a reason to transfer without one.

Here is what changed. Our updated Rove Miles guide covers the full program, earning rules, and all 21 transfer partners.

The Rove App, Dining, and Gift Cards

The iPhone app is available now, with bookings, account activity, shopping, and earning offers in one place. Android users can request access to the public beta. Use the Gmail account signed in to Google Play when applying for beta access.

The two earning options I would check first are:

Feature How to Use It What to Check
Rove Dining Link an eligible card and pay at a participating restaurant. Local coverage, the restaurant’s rate, and eligible purchases.
Gift cards Buy an eligible brand’s gift card and earn Rove Miles instantly. Whether you will use the full balance and whether the brand’s terms fit your purchase.

Rove Dining starts in selected cities. Check the current earning rate and eligible purchases for each restaurant before paying. The launch announcement says dining miles post within a week, so they are not the same as instant gift card earnings.

For gift cards, start with something you were already going to buy. If you need a few more miles for a booking, compare the mileage gap with the actual earning rate before committing money to a particular retailer. Instant earning does not mean an instant airline transfer, and the award could disappear while you complete the steps.

Rove’s product announcement also adds Safari shopping extensions, offers for purchases in stores, and a rebuilt hotel search with more Loyalty Eligible rates. Some features are still rolling out.

For hotels, compare the final room price and cancellation terms before choosing a higher mileage rate. Our Loyalty Eligible booking section explains what to look for if you also want hotel points and elite nights.

Copa ConnectMiles: 40% Transfer Bonus Through September 30

Rove’s Copa announcement confirms a standard 1:1 transfer ratio. Qualifying transfers completed by September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT receive a 40% bonus.

The transfer screen below shows 20,000 Rove Miles converting to 28,000 ConnectMiles. This is a quote before continuing, not a completed transfer or a flight price.

The 40% bonus is included in the quoted amount. The screen still shows the Continue button, so no completed transfer is shown here.

The same screen lists a minimum transfer of 2,000 Rove Miles, with increments of 1,000, and a maximum of 999,000. Rove describes processing as usually instant, but says it can take up to one day. Treat that as an estimate, not a guarantee that the award seat will still be available when the miles arrive.

Rove Miles Transferred ConnectMiles With the 40% Bonus
10,000 14,000
20,000 28,000
25,000 35,000
50,000 70,000

These are conversion examples, not flight prices or confirmed award availability. Recheck the ratio, transfer limits, and promotion terms in Rove before submitting. The quote includes the bonus, but it does not show when the bonus miles actually reach a ConnectMiles account.

The useful calculation works backward: ConnectMiles needed ÷ 1.4 = Rove Miles needed, before rounding up to an allowed transfer amount. If a bookable award costs 35,000 ConnectMiles and you have no existing balance, you would need 25,000 Rove Miles during the offer.

That is about 28.6% fewer Rove Miles than at the standard ratio. A 40% transfer bonus does not reduce the award’s cost by 40%, and taxes and fees still need to be paid.

ConnectMiles can book eligible Copa flights and airline partner awards. Copa’s published partner award chart gives prices by region and cabin, with awards subject to availability and additional charges. Use the chart to assess a quote, then confirm that the actual itinerary is bookable.
