Recently Found Award Flights with Finnair Plus
Find Finnair award flights with Avios
Start with a Finnair Plus award search and the dates you can travel. Finnair Plus uses Avios, but the program you book through still matters. Sharing a currency with other programs does not mean sharing every award price or available seat.
Finnair Classic awards have published route prices and limited seats. Paying for a regular cash ticket partly with Avios is a different option. On Finnair's website, choose the award flight search when you want a Classic award.
Useful routes through Helsinki
An AwardFares Gold or Diamond plan is required for the airline and cabin filters below. Open a route and add your dates.
- Helsinki to New York: Find Finnair Business Class to JFK. Compare Premium Economy too if the Business seats do not fit your dates or party size.
- Helsinki to Tokyo: Search Haneda and Narita in Business Class. Check arrival airports and the cost of reaching your destination in Japan.
- Stockholm to Helsinki: Look for Economy awards. For onward travel, compare the full itinerary before booking this flight separately.
How many Avios for a Finnair flight?
The official Finnair Classic table, checked September 4, 2026, lists Helsinki to New York at 30,000 Avios in Economy, 43,500 in Premium Economy and 62,500 in Business, per person in one direction. Surcharges, taxes and passenger fees are additional. These are published values, not confirmation that seats are available.
Connections deserve a separate check. Finnair generally charges Avios for each flight, with an exception for qualifying connections within its Finland and Northern Europe zone. For example, Stockholm to Helsinki to Singapore can price differently from London to Helsinki to Singapore. Use the full journey in your search and check the current zone rules.
Partner airlines have their own award tables and booking channels. Do not apply the Finnair table to every oneworld flight.
Find seats and complete the booking
Search for everyone traveling, compare dates and inspect the cabin on each flight. Gold and Diamond include live searches and alerts. Track a route if you cannot find the seats you need, then confirm the itinerary and total charges with Finnair before transferring Avios or booking.
Does the seat guarantee mean seats will be there today?
No. Finnair publishes a minimum allocation on eligible flights, but those seats can already be booked. Its current rules describe release 360 days before departure, with exclusions. A release window is a starting point for searching, not a promise of remaining availability.
How much are Finnair Avios worth?
Compare the cash ticket you would buy with the award's Avios and cash charges. Include any separate flight or hotel needed to reach Helsinki. A higher headline fare does not make a redemption better if it adds costs you would otherwise avoid.
For example, a hypothetical €1,200 ticket booked for 62,500 Avios plus €200 gives €1,000 of travel value from the Avios, or 1.6 euro cents per Avios. Use the same currency for the fare and award charges when comparing your own options.
For partner award tables and more ways to use Avios, read our Finnair Plus guide. Our Finnair Premium Economy review from Tokyo to Helsinki also shows the cabin experience if you are comparing it with Business Class. That review covers a paid ticket, not an award price.
If you are building your balance, our Finnair Plus calculator estimates Avios and tier points from flights, cards and other activity. It is an earning tool, not an award price calculator.
