Airline Status Match Offers 2026: Fees & Requirements

Apply by September 30, 2026. This Chicago-specific offer has different requirements from the general United challenge below.

• Eligibility: A Chicago metro-area address in MileagePlus and eligible earned or lifetime airline status. No United match within three years or Premier Status Exception within five years.
• Activation: Fly United or United Express to/from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) within 90 days of approval. An eligible flight from the previous 30 days can be considered if declared when applying.
• Challenge: 120 days, starting with the activating flight. Complete two qualifying United/United Express flights plus your matched tier’s PQP requirement. Check the campaign’s tier selector for the applicable PQP target. Eligible Chase card spending can contribute PQP; the activating flight counts.
• Validity: Qualification in 2026 earns status through January 2028; the terms specify January 2029 for qualification from January 1, 2027.
• Trial limitation: Reciprocal partner benefits, including Star Alliance lounge access, may be restricted.

A new campaign operates through Stat Sync, from Lufthansa Innovation Hub in cooperation with Miles & More. It is separate from the closed BA/Iberia and Volare offers.

• Eligibility: Qualifying status in a Malaysia-based airline loyalty program. Confirm the exact program in the application; this is not an unrestricted worldwide match.
• Fee: None, according to the campaign FAQ.
• Validity: Through February 28, 2027. Senator includes Star Alliance Gold benefits; Frequent Traveller does not.
• Extension: Retain status through February 28, 2028 with two segments for Frequent Traveller or six for Senator on participating Lufthansa Group or co-issuing Miles & More airlines. The published travel window is September 1–December 31, 2026; confirm the treatment of any flights taken before approval.
• Restrictions: Previous Miles & More match recipients are excluded. Flight-earned status is required; chain matches are rejected. Matched Senators receive neither eVouchers nor the mileage advance privilege. See the terms.
• Timing: Allow up to ten business days after approval for the tier to appear. No fixed application deadline is published; the campaign can end at any time.

Launched July 14, 2026, the JAL–Marriott partnership grants annual FLY ON qualification points after linking accounts. These are not redeemable miles.

JAL identifies Titanium and Ambassador as routes to Crystal or higher based on accumulated FLY ON points. Lower Marriott tiers receive a qualification boost, not an automatic equivalent airline tier. Higher status remains subject to JAL’s qualification rules.

• Availability: Eligible members worldwide; active accounts in both programs are required.
• Timing: Allow up to six weeks after linking for points to post. Later annual benefits are generally provided in spring.
• Linking restriction: Accounts must belong to the same person, and a completed link cannot be changed. The tier on registration day determines that calendar year’s benefits.
• Reverse direction: JAL Sapphire receives Marriott Silver; JGC Premier and Diamond receive Gold, with additional tier-specific stay challenges.

The existing Marriott–KrisFlyer partnership offers a match followed by a flight challenge.

• Marriott Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador: Register for complimentary KrisFlyer Elite Silver, then complete four qualifying Singapore Airlines flights within six months to earn Elite Gold.
• Marriott Gold: Complete two qualifying flights within six months to earn Elite Silver.
• Qualifying flights: Singapore Airlines-operated commercial flights, excluding group booking class G, award tickets, and codeshares. Credit the miles to KrisFlyer within the qualification period.
• Benefits: Elite Gold includes Star Alliance Gold; the initial Silver tier does not provide equivalent alliance lounge access.
• Timing and validity: Allow four to six weeks after completing the challenge for the upgrade. Gold earned through the challenge lasts at least 12 months, then normal requalification applies.
• Restrictions: Existing PPS Club/Elite Gold members and participants in overlapping KrisFlyer status-match challenges face eligibility exclusions. Read the partnership terms before registering.

Philippine Airlines and StatusMatch.com offer a paid match to Mabuhay Miles Elite or Premier Elite, with approved status valid through February 29, 2028. Compare the fee with the lounge, baggage, and priority services you would use on your planned Philippine Airlines flights.

• Eligibility: Qualifying airline status and residence in a supported market. US residents cannot apply. You need a free Mabuhay Miles account before applying; confirm your country and exact tier in the application portal.
• Fees: USD 199 for Elite or USD 349 for Premier Elite. If your existing status maps to Premier Elite, you can choose the cheaper Elite tier at checkout.
• Availability: No fixed closing date. Philippine Airlines and StatusMatch.com may change or end the offer at any time.
• Processing: After approval, the matched tier should appear in your Mabuhay Miles account within five business days.

Eligible Airlines and Tier Examples

The published list includes Air Canada, Air India, ANA, Delta, Emirates, Etihad, Flying Blue, Garuda Indonesia, JetBlue, Lufthansa, SAS, Singapore Airlines, Southwest, Turkish Airlines, United, and many others. These are selected examples; check the full tier map in the application portal before paying. Other programs may be considered after further assessment.

Benefits and Exclusions

Both tiers include lounge access, priority airport standby, dedicated priority check-in, priority boarding, priority baggage handling, and tier-based bonus miles, subject to the program’s benefit rules.

The two Upgrade Travel Certificates are excluded from a Premier Elite status match.

Payment Rules and How to Apply

• Residents of the Philippines: From September 14 through October 31, 2026, payment is limited to Philippine National Bank co-branded debit or credit cards. From November 1, 2026, any debit or credit card is accepted.
• Residents of other eligible countries: All debit and credit cards are accepted from September 14, 2026. This does not override the offer’s country restrictions.

Apply with your Mabuhay Miles membership number, a valid email address, and proof of your existing airline status, such as a membership-card photo. Choose your eligible tier and pay the fee. You may also be asked for a passport, driver’s license, or other information to verify your application.

Keeping Status Beyond February 2028

The promotional tier expires on February 29, 2028. To retain or upgrade it, you must meet the standard Mabuhay Miles qualification requirements. The review uses Philippine Airlines travel activity from January 1 through December 31, 2027; after the promotional period, your tier becomes the one earned under those standard rules.

Malaysia Airlines launched this campaign globally on July 7, 2026. It’s tightly targeted, but if you qualify, the $349 Platinum tier provides a paid route to oneworld Emerald. Applicants must be non-Malaysian nationals; existing Enrich elites are not eligible.

United accepts applications for its 2026 challenge through December 21. We checked the live offer and terms on September 21, 2026.

Who is Eligible for the United Status Match?

You need current eligible airline status and an authenticated MileagePlus account. The list includes Aerolíneas Plus, LATAM Pass, Smiles, Flying Blue, EuroBonus, AAdvantage, and others; check your exact tier in United’s selector. Status must be earned by meeting the program’s requirements or awarded for lifetime qualification. Trial, temporary, and promotional status do not qualify.

How the United Status Challenge Works

• Application deadline: December 21, 2026. Allow up to 14 business days for a response.
• Activation: Complete a qualifying United- or United Express-operated flight within 90 days after approval. When applying, you can also request consideration of an already-posted flight from the previous 30 days.
• Trial period: 120 days from the activating flight. Status appears within five to seven business days after that flight, according to the published terms.
• Requirements: Meet both the Premier qualifying flight (PQF) and Premier qualifying point (PQP) target for your matched tier:

Flights must be operated by United or United Express. Eligible award tickets and Money + Miles count; codeshares operated by other airlines do not. PQP from eligible United Chase card purchases can help, but do not replace the PQF requirement. Basic Economy and base fare tickets earn PQP but no PQF.

Complete the challenge in 2026 for status through January 2028, or from January 1, 2027 for status through January 2029. You must not have participated in a United match within three years or received a Premier Status Exception within five years.

During the trial, not all reciprocal partner benefits are guaranteed, including Star Alliance lounge access. On completing the challenge, Platinum receives 20 PlusPoints and 1K receives 100; provisional matched status alone does not grant them.

American calls its offer Instant Status Pass. You get four months of status, then keep it by earning enough Loyalty Points during each stage.

Is there a fee? No — unlike many of the paid matches in this guide, the American Airlines status match is free. There is no application or processing fee; the “cost” is meeting the Loyalty Point requirements to keep your status beyond the initial 4-month period.

AAdvantage Status Challenge Eligibility

This offer is targeted at elite members of major competing airlines, including Delta SkyMiles, JetBlue TrueBlue, Southwest Rapid Rewards, United MileagePlus, and Spirit Free Spirit. You must have earned the qualifying status; promotional, matched, transferred, and lifetime status do not qualify. No Instant Status Pass enrollment in the previous two years is allowed.

How the Instant Status Pass Works

• Upon approval, you receive immediate status for an initial 4-month period.
• To keep your status and climb higher, you must earn a certain number of Loyalty Points in each 4-month phase of the challenge.

  • Gold: 13,000 Loyalty Points
  • Platinum: 25,000 Loyalty Points
  • Platinum Pro: 42,000 Loyalty Points
  • Executive Platinum: 67,000 Loyalty Points
• Subsequent Phases: Meet the same requirements in each following 4-month period to retain status.

Delta offers a popular status match challenge that grants complimentary Medallion Status for a 3-month trial period.

Medallion Challenge Eligibility

The challenge is open to elite members of most major competing airlines worldwide who have not enrolled, matched, or earned Medallion status through Delta’s Status Match program (or similar promotional/complimentary offers) during 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, and who meet Delta’s additional participation requirements. You must have joined SkyMiles at least 30 days earlier and flown a Delta-marketed flight above Main Basic within the last three years.

Requirements to Extend Your Status

• Match Tiers: You can receive a match up to Platinum Medallion status for a 3-month trial.
• Extension Requirements (within 3 months):
  • Silver Medallion: Earn 1,250 MQDs
  • Gold Medallion: Earn 2,500 MQDs
  • Platinum Medallion: Earn 3,750 MQDs
• Flight requirement: Fly at least one Delta-marketed flight above Main Basic during the challenge. Eligible card MQD Boost counts; MQD Headstart does not.
• Validity: Members who enroll during 2026 and complete the MQD requirements will be awarded status through January 31, 2028.

Alaska Mileage Plan is now Atmos Rewards. Its current status match terms use base points, with eligible Alaska and Hawaiian flights counting toward the challenge.

• Eligibility: US and Canadian residents with flight-earned status from listed programs: Aeromexico, Air Canada, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, or United. American is not on the current list.
• Trial: 90 days; one match per account lifetime. Credit-card-earned, complimentary, and promotional status do not qualify.
• Keep Silver / oneworld Ruby: 5,000 base points.
• Keep Gold / oneworld Sapphire: 10,000 base points.
• Keep Platinum / oneworld Emerald: 20,000 base points.
• Qualifying flights: Alaska- or Hawaiian-marketed services operated by Alaska, Hawaiian, Horizon, or SkyWest. Saver fares, award travel, partner codeshares, and bonus points do not count.
• Timing: A July–December 2026 match, successfully completed, extends through December 31, 2027. No Titanium match is offered.

Open as checked September 21, 2026. JetBlue’s live Match to Mosaic offer is for legal US residents with eligible status earned through flying or card activity.

• Current mapping: Atmos Rewards, American, British Airways, Delta, Frontier, and Southwest. United is not listed. Spirit remains in the legal terms but has no row in the current tier chart; confirm eligibility before relying on it.
• Initial match: Mosaic 1 or 2 for three months.
• Extension: Earn and receive 10 tiles for Mosaic 1, 25 for Mosaic 2, or 40 for Mosaic 3 during the challenge to keep status through the following calendar year.
• Tiles: Eligible travel earns one per $100; JetBlue card spending earns one per $1,000. Purchased tiles count; gifted tiles and the selected 20-tile bonus do not.
• Benefits: Priority services and one checked bag for Mosaic 1; two for Mosaic 2, subject to itinerary rules. EvenMore upgrades begin 36 hours before departure for Mosaic 1 or at booking for Mosaic 2, subject to availability and fare restrictions.
• Repeat matches: A 24-month wait applies. Matched, transferred, and promotional source status are excluded.

Southwest now matches to A-List or A-List Preferred for 120 days. Apply through the registration form linked on the official Southwest status match page.

• Eligibility: Qualifying status with another airline; the published mapping includes American, Delta, United, Alaska, and JetBlue. Other programs may be reviewed at Southwest’s discretion. Your existing tier determines the match.
• Deadline: Register by December 30, 2026. No promotional A-List/A-List Preferred status in the preceding 12 months.
• Cost: Free application.
• Booking requirement: Qualify for the promotion before booking. Only new revenue reservations booked and flown within the 120-day period count toward the flight requirement.
• Extend A-List: Fly 3 qualifying round trips / 6 one-way flights, or earn 11,500 tier qualifying points from flights within the trial.
• Extend A-List Preferred: Fly 6 qualifying round trips / 12 one-way flights, or earn 23,000 tier qualifying points from flights within the trial.
• Extension: 12 additional months after meeting the applicable requirement. Check the registration terms for qualifying bookings and prior-match restrictions.

Flying Blue’s current offer terms list a narrower set of markets than the earlier 2026 campaigns:

The US, Canada, Italy, Singapore, Thailand, and several Asian/Middle Eastern campaigns appear under recently ended offers. The old UK, Spain, and wider European offers are not in the current active country list.

For readers in Argentina and Chile: Flying Blue’s price table and FAQ disagree about Platinum. The table excludes Brazil, while the FAQ also excludes Argentina and Chile. We would confirm the tier with StatusMatch.com before paying.

Status lasts 12 months after approval, with one match per person and normal requalification afterward. You need eligible airline status, a Flying Blue account, and proof of residence. Check the tier mapping and FAQ for your program.

Royal Jordanian offers a paid status match in selected countries, including Canada and the UK. The current eligibility list does not include US residents.

Eligible Hotel Programs (Silver Jay Only)

Matches to Silver Jay are available from programs like Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt, IHG One Rewards, and Accor ALL.

• Eligibility: Eligible airline elites resident in Australia or India, with government-issued proof of residence. Hotel status is not accepted.
• Match tiers: Silver or Gold; no Platinum match.
• Cost: Paid application; check the live fee for your market. The complimentary Australian Gold offer has ended.
• Initial validity: Six months for Australia; four months for India.
• Extension: An additional 12 months after a qualifying Etihad-marketed and operated return trip that earns at least one Etihad Guest Mile during the initial period.

Accor ALL to Kenya Airways Platinum Status Match

Accor ALL Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members can now match directly to Asante Rewards Platinum Elite Plus for $299. The July 27, 2026 announcement upgrades Accor’s hotel-match option to Kenya Airways’ highest tier. Apply with Kenya Airways.

• Validity: 12 months after approval; no initial flight challenge.
• Residence exclusions: Argentina, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are excluded by the live application page. The offer is not available in every country.
• Other applicants: Eligible airline elites can match to Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Other hotel matches stop at Gold; a travel rewards credit card alone qualifies only for Silver ($99).
• Application: Create an Asante Rewards account, submit current status proof, and pay the fee. One match per person; no fixed closing date is published.

Platinum offers SkyTeam Elite Plus recognition, with lounge and guest access subject to itinerary and partner rules. Check participating Asante partners before travel.

Our take: If you already have Accor Gold or above and several SkyTeam trips planned, this is worth comparing with the cost of the benefits you would otherwise pay for. The fee is the same $299 that Kenya Airways charges hotel members for Gold Elite Plus. Accor members can now get Platinum for that amount. Both tiers include SkyTeam Elite Plus, so Platinum is not a higher alliance tier; its extra value depends on the Kenya Airways benefits you will use.

Vietnam’s current status match terms include residents of the US, Canada, UK, and selected European, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries. This is not limited to Asia-Pacific.

• Airline matches: Status lasts 12 months from approval, with normal requalification afterward.
• Hotel matches: Separate terms apply; hotels cannot match to Platinum. Do not assume hotel status unlocks SkyTeam Elite Plus.
• Credit cards: Eligible travel cards can match to Titanium for $199 in Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, or Malaysia. Pay with the eligible card.
• Eligibility: Your country and current status must be on the list of eligible members. One match per person; no fixed application deadline.

• Eligibility: Eligible airline or hotel elites resident in Europe, the Middle East, or Asia, with local ID.
• Cost: $49 application fee; eligible Silver applicants may be offered a Gold buy-up for an additional $199.
• Validity: Through December 31, 2026, rather than a full year from approval.

We could not confirm the current offer on September 7. These details are from the previous offer. Check with LifeMiles before applying or booking flights for the challenge.

• Eligibility: Must reside in Colombia, Ecuador, or Central America (Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama). Must hold elite status in one of the following programs: LATAM Pass, American AAdvantage, Delta SkyMiles, Aeromexico Rewards, Iberia Plus, Flying Blue, British Airways Executive Club, Air Europa SUMA.
• Process: Complete the online form provided by Avianca. Upload the following documents: photo of your elite frequent flyer card (showing name, tier, and validity), government-issued ID or recent (last 3 months) proof of residency in an eligible country.
• Validity: Approved members receive 4 months of elite status. To extend through the end of the year, complete a qualifying mileage challenge.

• Eligibility: Members of Air Canada, Air India, American, BA, Cathay, Emirates, Iberia, Lufthansa, SAA, United, and more.
• Match Tiers: Silver: Requires any future booking. Gold: Requires Premium or Upper Class booking.
• Activation and validity: Virgin upgrades your account 72 hours before the qualifying flight, then status lasts 12 months from the upgrade. Your source status must still be valid when you travel.
• Qualifying booking: Revenue and award bookings count, including eligible codeshares with a VS flight number. Gold needs Premium/Upper Class plus an eligible top tier; Silver requires an eligible tier and any cabin.
• Extension: Silver: 400 Tier Points. Gold: 1,000 Tier Points.
• Restrictions: The current Virgin terms exclude members who also hold any level of membership with a SkyTeam partner airline. No match if previously matched in the last five years. Keep your Flying Club number on the booking when applying and traveling.

Waitlist only as checked September 21, 2026. The Royal Air Maroc application portal is now collecting interest for future offers.

The former Silver, Gold, and Platinum fees and the December 31, 2026 status expiry belong to the previous campaign. They are not currently bookable offers. For an available oneworld option, see Malaysia Airlines Enrich, Royal Jordanian, or Atmos Rewards and check your eligibility.

Older campaigns remain closed, as checked September 21, 2026. The Lufthansa StatusMatch.com portal still redirects to a waitlist. However, the separate Stat Sync campaign for Malaysia-based airline programs is open.

The previous free Volare campaign and paid British Airways/Iberia campaign are unavailable to new applicants. Their published February 28, 2027 status expiry was a benefit end date for approved members, not an application deadline. Keep your approval confirmation for the terms of an existing match.

Closed to new applications as checked September 21, 2026. The TAP status match portal now offers registration for future opportunities.

The previous €49 Silver offer and its mileage booster are historical. Joining the waitlist does not grant status or guarantee a new offer.

SAS ran three status match campaigns in 2026 — a free match for Finnair/airBaltic elites, a paid match for British Airways Club members, and a paid India-exclusive match. All three have now closed. As of July 2026, sas.statusmatch.com only offers a waitlist where you can register interest in a future campaign. EuroBonus Gold and Diamond map to SkyTeam Elite Plus, so it’s worth joining the waitlist if you missed out.

Closed: Free Match (Finnair Plus & airBaltic Club)

The previous free status match for Finnair Plus and airBaltic Club members ended on March 27, 2026. It required a flight challenge of 3–9 SAS-operated flights within 6 months to extend status.

Closed: Paid Match (British Airways Club)

The previous paid match open to British Airways Club members resident in Europe ended in March 2026 and has been superseded by the India-exclusive offer above.

This was a Sweden-only paid status match designed for SAS EuroBonus members looking to transition from SkyTeam to oneworld. The offer closed on April 23, 2026.

This is a targeted status match challenge designed for SAS EuroBonus members following SAS’s departure from Star Alliance.

Who is Eligible for the Turkish Airlines Status Match?

The offer is exclusively for SAS EuroBonus Gold, Diamond, or Pandion members with at least 2 months of validity remaining on their status. SAS Silver members are not eligible.

How the Turkish Airlines Challenge Works

• Status Match Tiers:
  • EuroBonus Gold → Miles&Smiles Elite (Star Alliance Gold)
  • EuroBonus Diamond/Pandion → Miles&Smiles Elite Plus (Star Alliance Gold)
• Trial Period: Upon approval, you receive status for a 4-month trial period.
• Challenge Requirements:
  • To extend to 12 months: Complete 1 international flight operated by Turkish Airlines.
  • To extend to 24 months: Earn 15,000 status miles on Turkish Airlines flights within the first 12 months.
• Required Documents: Copy of your ID/passport, proof of current EuroBonus status (card or screenshot), and a recent mileage statement.

Historical offer; closed. ITA Airways left SkyTeam in 2025 and joined Star Alliance on April 1, 2026. The old Volare match is not an available route to status.

The 2025 campaign accepted applications through June 10, 2025, with matched status valid through December 31, 2025. Lufthansa’s subsequent Volare match has also closed.

• Eligibility: Open to LATAM Pass members only (free to register). Residents of all countries except Brazil may apply. Delta SkyMiles, GOL Smiles, and TudoAzul members are excluded. Only airline elite status is accepted (not hotel or lounge memberships).
• Process: Register as a LATAM Pass member (if not already). Visit latam.statusmatch.com to apply. Submit documents: proof of elite status, ID/passport, and residency.
• Fees:
  • $199 USD – standard global rate.
  • $98 USD – residents of Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland.
  • $80 USD – residents of Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and the U.S.
• Approved Match Validity: Until March 31, 2025 (previous campaign).
• Limitations: Match allowed once per person. Black Signature tier not available via status match. Approved participants are not eligible for future LATAM status matches.

• Offer: Paid status match to FRONTIER Miles Elite Gold status. This offer ended September 9, 2025.
• Eligibility: Members with any elite status level from Southwest, JetBlue, Spirit, or Alaska Airlines.
• Cost: $69 one-time fee.
• Validity: Status valid through December 31, 2026 (for those who were approved).
• Benefits: Free carry-on bag, Zone 1 boarding, free seat selection, and complimentary upgrades.

HawaiianMiles no longer exists as a standalone program — it merged with Alaska Mileage Plan into Atmos Rewards in 2025. Former HawaiianMiles elites were carried over automatically, and any new status match requests go through the Alaska Atmos Rewards challenge above.
