Find Virgin Atlantic reward flights

Use Flying Club award search to compare flights available with Virgin Points. For Virgin Atlantic flights, choose Economy, Premium Economy for Premium, or Business Class for Upper Class.

Virgin Atlantic uses variable points pricing for its own flights. Saver rewards identify lower priced options, but they are not available on every flight or in every cabin. The price and rules for a partner airline can be different.

Start with these Virgin Atlantic searches

An AwardFares Gold or Diamond plan is required for the airline, cabin and Saver filters below. Add your dates after opening a route.

• New York to London: Find Upper Class Saver seats from JFK. Check the cash charges as well as the points before choosing a date.
• Boston to London: Compare Premium Saver awards. Premium can be worth comparing when you want more space but Upper Class requires too many points.
• London to Johannesburg: Search Upper Class Saver availability. Inspect the aircraft and seat, particularly if you are choosing the route for the onboard experience.

If these searches return nothing useful, remove Saver to compare other award fares or try nearby dates. An empty Saver search does not mean the flight cannot be booked with points.

How many Virgin Points do you need?

Check the quote for your exact flight. Virgin's reward seat explanation confirms that points prices vary and taxes, fees and carrier charges remain payable. A low advertised starting price is not a fare available on every route.

Compare each direction separately when planning a return trip, since the points and cash amounts can differ. Include the cost of reaching a different departure airport if you change your plans for a cheaper award.

Are partner awards priced the same way?

No. Partner airlines have separate redemption rules and availability. A Virgin Atlantic Saver result does not prove that another program can book the seat, and a seat found through a partner's own program may not be offered to Flying Club.

Some partner bookings require contacting Virgin Atlantic. Check that airline's current booking instructions before moving points. Do not assume every premium cabin is bookable with Virgin Points.

When does Virgin Atlantic release reward seats?

Virgin Atlantic lists a booking window of 331 days before departure in its Flying Club terms. Start checking when your dates open, but do not assume that every flight will have the lowest points price. Its Saver rules say Saver seats are subject to availability and may not be offered in every cabin or on every flight.

Partner airlines have their own release schedules. If your trip is already within the booking window, compare nearby dates and set an alert for the cabin you want. An alert does not hold a seat.

Compare, track and book

Search for your full party and inspect the cabin on every flight. Gold and Diamond include live searches and alerts. Track your route and dates if suitable seats are missing, then confirm and book through Virgin Atlantic.

For redemption value, compare the cash ticket you would actually buy after subtracting award taxes and charges. Upper Class can be attractive, but a high cash contribution may change the decision. Virgin Points do not expire, so there is no need to force a poor redemption just to reset an expiry date.
