Delta One Updates: New Dining This Fall, New Suites in 2027

Dining changes start from Los Angeles this fall. The A350-1000 arrives in early 2027, with longer beds and extra padding.

Delta One Updates: New Dining This Fall, New Suites in 2027

Delta is refreshing Delta One dining and service this fall, starting on transoceanic departures from Los Angeles and expanding across its network in 2027. The October announcement includes new menus, more meal choices before departure, and updated amenities.

The new suites are part of the plans we covered in April: new seats for the A350-1000 and refurbished A330-200/300s. Delta’s latest overview puts the A350-1000’s arrival in early 2027. A flight with the new menu can still have the existing seat.

New Meals and More Time to Pre-Order

The new menu includes a Wagyu burger, Hong Kong-style sea bass, and sorbet with an optional Taittinger Champagne pairing. There are more gluten-free and lighter pre-order choices, too. The service changes include new tableware, sauces served separately, and a hot towel, nuts, and drink placed on the side console before dining.

Delta’s updated service lets you pre-select your entrée through Delta until 18 hours before departure, six hours later than before. If you would rather sleep through breakfast, you can choose coffee and a croissant before landing instead of the full morning meal.

You can also preview Delta’s onboard menu directly from an AwardFares result within 7 days of departure. Open the flight details and select Menu for the Delta segment, when available, to see the food and drinks listed for that flight and cabin. If you’re searching further ahead, check again during the week before your flight.

Here are the announced dates:

Update Announced Rollout
Refreshed dining and service Transoceanic Delta One departures from LAX this fall; broader network in 2027
DASSAI 45 sake Delta One flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda from November 3, 2026
Missoni Winter Elsewhere amenity kit November 3, 2026
Blanton’s bourbon December 1, 2026
Hugo Spritz and Paloma, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions International routes in March 2027; domestic routes in April 2027

The new wine program started on October 1, with 13 wines from 11 wineries selected by Andrea Robinson with input from SkyMiles members. It includes Napa producers such as Silver Oak alongside international wines. Taittinger Champagne also extends to domestic Delta One, so that change is already underway.

Delta is also introducing a Missoni Mini pillow on transoceanic Delta One flights and bringing back Bombas socks on select domestic and international flights departing the U.S., without giving a start date for either in this announcement.

The initial dining rollout covers departures from LAX. Check the return flight separately if the new service is part of the reason you are choosing the route.

New Seats on the A350-1000 and A330

We’ve flown the existing A330-900neo suites on Tokyo–Seattle and Buenos Aires–New York. We liked the privacy, but both reviews had the same complaint: the seat felt hard when lying down, and neither flight provided an extra mattress pad. The new pillow-top cushions are worth watching for that reason. We’d need to try them to judge the difference.

We previously covered Delta’s cabin interior refresh for 2025, including its materials, colours, and lighting. The April 13 announcement adds new suites:

  • A350-1000: A new Delta One suite with a bed over 6.5 feet long, a 24-inch screen, and seats facing the windows. Centre suites have a sliding divider for passengers travelling together.
  • A330-200 and A330-300: Refurbishments adding Delta One suites with privacy doors to these fleets for the first time. Delta has not specified the same 24-inch screen for these aircraft.

Both projects include wireless charging, pillow-top cushions, and self-service snack areas in Delta One. Delta aims for 90% of Delta One seats to have privacy doors by 2030.

Delta Comfort and Delta Main also get new seats, with an extra inch of legroom and a shelf for personal items. Every cabin on both fleets gets memory-foam cushions, larger 4K QLED screens, Bluetooth audio, USB-C, and AC power. We covered the next-generation screens and Bluetooth announcement in January 2025.

Delta has not named an inaugural A350-1000 flight or a route-by-route A330 refurbishment schedule in these announcements.

The A330-900neo we reviewed already has suites. The refurbishments above are for the older A330-200/300.

More Porsche Transfers Through VIP Select

Delta plans to expand its Porsche fleet from 40 to 70 hybrid vehicles across 15 airports and hubs by 2028. The announcement specifies that the service is available to Delta One passengers when booking VIP Select. A Delta One award ticket on its own does not include a Porsche transfer.

Finding Delta One Awards

In AwardFares, select Delta under Airlines and Business under Cabins, then compare loyalty programs for the same route and dates.

Compare Delta awards across programs, including SkyMiles, Flying Blue, SAS EuroBonus, and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

If the SkyMiles price is high, check those partners before ruling out the flight. They may charge fewer points, although Delta does not release every seat to partners. Compare the cash charges and seat counts too, especially if you’re travelling together.

Gold and Diamond let you run live searches across programs: two at once on Gold, up to five on Diamond. Use Timeline View to check nearby dates. If nothing fits, set a Live Alert with your cabin, passenger count, and maximum points price.
