- March 18, 2026 through March 31, 2027: lower tier thresholds. Eligible members who already held Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum on March 17, 2026 receive a 25% reduction for attaining or retaining Silver through Platinum.
- April 30, 2026: elite award discounts. Gold, Platinum, and Emerald members now receive up to 10% off Promo-seat prices.
- May 22, 2026: Bangkok Airways joined. Members can now redeem Etihad Guest miles on Bangkok Airways.

Fixed-Rate Awards vs Any Available Seat
Etihad Guest offers two practical ways to use miles for a flight.
Fixed-rate member awards are called Promo seats on Etihad’s current English pages and Saver Awards on some regional pages. These seats have reduced mileage rates and limited availability. Economy awards were introduced with a starting price of 5,000 miles one-way, while Business started at 15,000 miles. The actual price depends on distance, cabin, and available inventory.
Any available seat can also be paid with miles, or with a combination of miles and another payment method. These bookings use the available commercial fare rather than the limited fixed-rate award price. They offer more choice, but usually require more miles.
Use the following rule:
- If your dates are flexible, compare several days and choose a fixed-rate Promo/Saver seat.
- If you must take one specific flight, compare the standard miles price with the cash fare before booking.
- Always check the final fare name, mileage amount, taxes, and change rules on Etihad’s checkout page.
Comfort and Deluxe fixed-rate awards can earn Tier Miles. Value awards do not.
Etihad Guest Award Prices in 2026 (No Published Chart)
Etihad does not currently publish a complete guaranteed award chart. Its miles calculator provides the current fixed-rate price for a route, and Etihad’s terms allow those prices to change without notice. The 5,000-mile Economy and 15,000-mile Business starting prices were introduced in Etihad’s 2024 program update.

Important: Fixed-rate inventory is limited. A higher price may be a standard available seat paid with miles, a different fare option, or a changed fixed-rate price. Confirm the fare label on Etihad’s website before booking.
To estimate the value of a redemption, subtract the award’s taxes and fees from the comparable cash fare, then divide the result by the number of miles. Compare several dates because both the cash fare and the miles price can change.
Best Ways to Use Etihad Guest Miles: Sweet Spots
The following redemptions are useful places to begin a search:
- Short flights from Abu Dhabi: search routes such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain, and Muscat. These routes fall into the lowest distance bands.
- Abu Dhabi to Muscat in Business Class: a short way to try Etihad Business Class when fixed-rate inventory is available.
- Abu Dhabi to London on the A380: this route offers the First Apartment. Compare Etihad Guest with programs such as Air Canada Aeroplan before transferring miles.
- A Residence upgrade: eligible First tickets can be upgraded to The Residence with Etihad Guest miles. Check eligibility and upgrade availability before buying the underlying ticket.

Etihad Cabins, Ranked
The A380, First Apartments, and The Residence in 2026
Etihad’s A380 has First Apartments and The Residence, the only three-room suite in commercial aviation. First Apartment awards can be booked when the required inventory is available. The Residence is offered as an upgrade from an eligible First ticket and can be paid for with Etihad Guest miles.
Etihad’s announced A380 network for 2026 includes:
- London Heathrow (LHR)
- Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)
- Singapore (SIN)
- Toronto (YYZ): replaced New York JFK as the North American A380 route in June 2025.
- Tokyo Narita (NRT): daily service began in June 2026. Etihad confirmed the inaugural arrival on June 18.
- Bangkok (BKK): daily A380 service begins October 25, 2026.
New York no longer has Etihad A380 service. Abu Dhabi to New York still operates, but not with First Apartments or The Residence.

Etihad Guest Elite Tiers and Reduced 2026 Thresholds
Etihad Guest has five membership levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Emerald. Members qualify through a rolling 12-month period, and part of the Tier Miles requirement must come from eligible flights.
From March 18, 2026 through March 31, 2027, Etihad is reducing the requirements for eligible members by 25%. The offer applies only to members who held Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum status as of March 17, 2026 at 23:59 GMT+4.

The 72-Hour Lockout
Etihad’s detailed Promo-fare table does not permit changes or cancellations within 72 hours of departure for Value, Comfort, or Deluxe. Check the fare rules shown during booking because standard seats paid with miles can follow different commercial conditions.
The official fare table also shows different baggage, seat selection, lounge, upgrade, and Tier Miles benefits for each option. Taxes, carrier charges, and possible contact-center service fees are additional to the miles price.
Avoid speculative Value bookings. If your plans are uncertain, compare the extra miles required for Comfort or Deluxe with the potential cost of changing or losing the ticket.
Etihad Guest miles are valid for 18 months for Bronze, Silver, and Gold members. An eligible Etihad or partner flight extends them for another 18 months. Miles held by Platinum and Emerald members do not expire.
When Does Etihad Release Award Seats?
Etihad Guest generally opens its booking calendar about 330 days before departure. That is the earliest date you may be able to book; it does not mean every cabin will have fixed-rate availability on that date. Additional seats can appear later because of schedule changes, cancellations, or inventory adjustments.
